Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery

Founded in 1868, RAMM is home to over one million objects.  The museum's vision is 'Home to a Million Thoughts'.  A winner of the Art Fund Prize Museum of the Year award, RAMM is a world-class museum with striking displays and galleries, fabulous exhibitions and modern amenities.  The spectacular Victorian building links the modern commercial city centre with its historic past.  Displays reveal Devon and Exeter's rich history, fine art and global connections. Exotic animals, birds and insects delight children and the world cultures galleries display stunning objects from all over the world.  Recent exhibitions have featured art by Canaletto, Holbein, Monet and Renoir; and contemporary artists including Gilbert & George, Richard Long and Clare Woods.  RAMM has also worked with leading artists including Sonia Boyce, Susan Collins and Chris Watson on creative commissions.  Free Admission
