Sormani Vella

Sormani Vella is an artist-run space in Clevedon, North Somerset, founded by Alessandra Sormani and Stephan Takkides. As well as being a physical exhibition, project and residency space, Sormani Vella aims to be a platform for off-site projects and a distributor of artists’ publications.

Artists are invited to make and show work that responds to Sormani Vella’s location in a small seaside town. As a cellar space, it is ideally suited and equipped for screen-based and new-media work, although artists who work in any media are encouraged to adapt the space for solo and smaller group projects.
