Longstitch bindings are medieval, non-adhesive book structures. You will make three different kinds with handmade paper covers and decorative exposed stitching on the spines. The workshop is perfect for artists, writers, teachers and anyone interested in making books. Participants will learn core bookbinding skills of folding, cutting, sewing and glueing and take home their three handmade books along with a set of workshop notes. All the materials and equipment will be provided.

Megan Stallworthy is a member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and an associate lecturer in Graphic Design (Bookbinding) at Falmouth University.
