We're delighted to have an eclectic and exciting exhibition programme across 2018. Elena Brake, an emerging artist based in Plymouth, will be showing the inaugural exhibition of the year. Housework is Brake's latest collection of work, the artist having previously tested the city centre with magnets during Plymouth Art Weekender and sowing seeds in public urban spaces.

Brake presents Housework, a selection of works that originate from ordinary household tasks. The artist aims to reimagine and enchant everyday experiences by capturing and exaggerating the mundane details of ordinary life in a way that stirs complex and unexpected emotions. The playful and light-hearted approach in her work reveals the potential for magical moments within domestic and public experiences.

Open Evening: 2 April, 6-8pm
