Do you never have enough hours in the day to achieve all the things you need to do?

Do you dread talking about your work or product to galleries or potential buyers?

Do you fear figures and creating budgets for funding applications or commissions?

Then you need to...

'Take Control' - learn how to manage your creative practice or business more effectively.

This course, which is specifically designed for people working in the creative sector, will help you to understand how to improve the way you deal with important aspects of your creative practice or your creative business:

How to effectively manage your time and become more organised How to manage projects, including how to plan finances and write a budget, how to evaluate what you have done How best to work collaboratively How to improve how you communicate - eg to potential funders or purchasers of your work

The course is delivered in four days, spread over three months.

There are four days of face to face taught sessions with the tutor, Trish Archer, who has seven years of experience working with Creative Skills to run courses that help creative practitioners to improve how they manage their practice or business.

Between the sessions you will need to commit around 5 hours of your time to working on two assignments which are directly linked to what you learn in your taught sessions.

Successful completion of the course will result in you achieving a Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management

We are able to offer this course at a cost of £60 - that's just £15 per day! The usual cost is £500 but we have ESF money to subsidize the cost for people working in the creative sector in Cornwall.
