Pick of the Week 2016

July's Guest Editor: Ellen Wilkinson

Every month we invite a Guest Editor to select our Pick of the Week feature. Chosen from the activities listed in our events pages they select highlights from across the region.

This July, artist and writer Ellen Wilkinson is making the selection.

Ellen Wilkinson is an artist and writer based in Bristol. She has worked for numerous arts organisations in the city and is currently Online Editor (maternity cover) for Visual Arts South West.

A Fine Art graduate of the University of the West of England, Ellen works across a wide range of media and is currently completing an MA in Creative Writing at Brunel University, London. She is interested in the points at which the visual arts and experimental literary techniques meet, and in the gaps between the linguistic and visual: how they confirm and contradict one another, and where each fails.

Ellen’s work has been shown nationally and internationally, including at: PACT Zollervein, Essen, Germany; LOOP Festival of Video Art, Barcelona, Spain; Videoformes Festival, Clermont-Ferrand, France; The Great North Museum: Hancock, Newcastle; X Marks the Bökship, London, and Plan 9, Bristol.
