Established in 1976, Spike Print Studio is a registered charity. A contemporary print centre, it is an exceptional regional resource.
Our mission is to advance education for public benefit through the promotion of the arts, in particular the art of printmaking.
We do this by inspiring all through the provision of outstanding education, training and resources in the transformative power of printmaking
We provide a shared community space for artists and opportunities to engage the general public in the wide-reaching art of printmaking. It doesn’t matter who you are and how you use the studio, the benefits of learning to print can make people happier by enabling them to express themselves, having the freedom to fail, persevere, focus and collaborate.
Knowledge is shared easily in an open access print studio. We believe in the transformative power of art and its ability to educate, influence and improve communities. This core value drives our work with young people, and we strive to provide access and opportunities to graduates, students and school pupils in all our endeavours.
