"My 2016 contemporary impressionism collection will be a set of new originals and limited editions, focusing on seascapes and landscapes but with an increasingly abstracted impressionistic style. My practice is based on an expression of a place rather than a realistic interpretation. I like to allow the atmosphere and free-spirited essence of a place to feed our souls, and I mainly paint from my head allowing this to freely flow out. I am never quite sure what is going to evolve when I pick up a paintbrush but it will be painted with love and a deep lifelong ingrained passion for painting.

I love to paint in the gallery, talking to everyone who comes in whether fellow artist, visitor, local, tourist or collector, about my musings as an artist, my techniques or my life on Burgh Island. I hope I manage to inspire a few people along the way."
