A British – Icelandic co-production for BBC Storyville and Netflix, the film features cinematography by Bergsteinn Björgúlfsson (Trapped, Woman at War, Of Horses and Men) and music from Olafur Arnolds (Broadchurch).

FINANCIAL TIMES: 'A tautly constructed documentary that combines all the thrills of Scandi noir with the frisson of reality.' ★★★★

HOLLYWOOD REPORTER: ‘Haunting, stylishly executed, gorgeously photographed.’

SCREEN DAILY: ‘Director Dylan Howitt combines diligent detective work with dramatic reconstructions that have the look and tension of a fictional Scandi noir-style crime story. The result is a documentary that becomes a fascinating, compelling thriller in its own right.’

DYLAN HOWITT is a filmmaker with many years of experience telling compelling stories from all around the world. He's directed, filmed and edited for television, commercial clients, activist groups and independently. ‘Out of Thin Air’ is his first feature film.
