This feature length documentary film looks at the fascinating world of photographer Sir Simon Marsden; from his boyhood in the Lincolnshire Wolds of East England - where he grew up in two historic and haunted houses, to becoming a highly acclaimed and much sought after creator of some of the world's most startlingly evocative images. Not only does it look at the photographs which saw his work included in many important collections throughout the world, including the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Bibliotheque Nationale , but it hears from experts as well as close friends who all give invaluable insight into the inspirations and passion which brought to the world one of the most innovative of photographers.

We see how Simon was also a man of great sensitivity for the haunted landscapes where he brought his cameras to capture these stunning and captivating images; from the crumbling ruins of Celtic Ireland to the great fortresses across the length and breadth of Britain, Italy, France and Germany and to the vast enigmatic mansions of Russia. Amateur Photographer calls the film 'a fascinating tribute - part documentary, part meditation, part celebration. This film gives a real insight into Marsden and his motivations' and Psychic News writes that the film is 'set to be regarded by future generations as the definitive portrait of Marsden's life and work'.

The screening will be followed by a Q+A with the film's director Jason Figgis.
