Why did St Ives, a small seaside town in Cornwall, produce painters and sculptors of such influence and prominence in modern art? University of St Andrews art history graduate, Jess Morgan, explores the life and work of Barbara Hepworth, Alfred Wallis, and Ben Nicholson, among others, examing the art-historical significance of the work produced from 1930-1960, and the various styles and techniques that are pivotal to our understanding of painting and sculpture today.

Part of the 'Travelling into History' Talks series at Kennaway House. There are three other talks- see Kennaway House's website for more details.
