Speakers include: 

  • Chris Steele-Perkins. A Magnum photographer since 1979 Chris has photographed different groups in Britain and in the developing world. His work has been widely published in book form. 
  • Silvia Rosi is an London-based photographer and has most recently won the 2019 Jerwood/Photoworks Award. 
  • Patricia Holland is the author with Jo Spence of Family Snaps: The Meanings of Domestic Photography
  • Susan Adams runs The Family Ties Networka research group of artists, filmmakers and writers who explore memory, space, place and the family in photography and moving image.
  • Alba Zari studied documentary photography at the International Center of photography in New York, and then continued her studies in photography and visual design at the NABA in Milan. Her recent works include Places (2015), a book and a photographic project executed with ElementWo, which deals with analysis of the visual communication of ISIS propaganda; Radici (2013), a documentary project on the vegetation of the Mesr desert in Iran; The Y- Research of Biological Father (2017), born out of a journey in search of her origins through the father she never knew. The result of her images are variable with always different colours and a materiality feel. She often employs self-portraits
  • Samuel Fordham is a Bristol based artist who most recently won the Paris Photo Carte Blanche Award, also exhibiting in the Bloomberg New Contemporaries, Magenta Foundation Flash Forward and Kaunas Photo Star Award.

Individual presentations will be followed by a panel discussion.
