Crafts & Retail Co-ordinator (Maternity Cover)

Aspex is looking for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual with a passion for contemporary craft, and experience of retail to join its committed team. This is a crucial role, with key responsibility to drive income generation through the craft programme and retail within the gallery shop.
Aspex is more than a gallery – it is a creative hub for the region, supporting emerging artists and revealing the creative process. Located in the Vulcan Building at Gunwharf Quays - a premium retail outlet, with restaurants and cafes on the waterfront at Portsmouth Harbour - the gallery also delivers its programme and special projects at other sites in and around the City.
The successful candidate taking up the post of Crafts & Retail Co-ordinator (Maternity Cover) will be joining Aspex at an exciting period, following reopening after lockdowns and as we continue to celebrate Aspex’s 40th anniversary in 2021. The post holder will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the organisation’s further development particularly through the development of online retail.
