Creative enterprise support programme launches in South Bristol

A Bristol-based arts centre and making space is launching a new initiative to support people to turn their creative ideas into enterprises.

MADE in South Bristol is run by Knowle West Media Centre's innovation space KWMC The Factory, which was established in 2015 and specialises in making, digital manufacturing and product design.

The programme will support people aged 18+ in South Bristol who don’t currently own a business but are interested in exploring creative entrepreneurship, digital design and digital manufacturing, as well as existing creative businesses looking for advice and guidance.

KWMC The Factory will offer a mix of online and ‘in person’ enterprise support, which can be tailored to each individual’s needs. This could include mentoring sessions, opportunities to meet other makers, and training in using digital design software and fabrication equipment such as laser cutters and 3D printers.

KWMC The Factory is launching MADE in South Bristol on Thursday 29 October 2020 with an informal online event where people can find out more about the support available and how to get involved.  For information visit www.kwmc.org.uk/enterprise-support/ or contact emma.boulton@kwmc.org.uk

MADE in South Bristol is delivered by KWMC The Factory as part of South Bristol Enterprise Support (SBES), which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and West of England Combined Authority Investment Fund. SBES is delivered in partnership by Bristol City Council, YTKO, School for Social Entrepreneurs, The Prince’s Trust and KWMC The Factory.
