Applications are invited from emerging/early career artists based in or connected to the South West of England. Submissions are free and open to all. It is a selling exhibition. Please submit photographs of your work or details of proposed work including dimensions and weight if possible.
The theme this year is ‘connectivity’. Connectivity may be interpreted in terms of materials, form, growth, and especially potential energy. It can apply to the body (internal to external); to place; to others; or, paradoxically, between materiality and the void. Connectivity implies affinity, openness, both being receptive to, and actively seeking, relatedness.
£1000 Ashburner prize , to be awarded for the piece that best represents the theme ‘connectivity’.
COVID rules permitting an open day will be held on 28th or 29thJanuary 2022, for artists to visit and better understand the site. Please advise us, by email, if you would like to attend.
