Weekend Visitor Assistant
New Art Centre gallery and sculpture park are looking for part-time Visitor Assistants to support the gallery on weekends.
Our weekend staff are key to providing a welcoming and informed experience to all our guests. This position is suitable for outgoing individuals with an interest in art and people. Successful candidates must be available to work weekends, be able to drive and have a car.
Key responsibilities include:
Greeting guests and visitors
Answering incoming calls to gallery
Monitoring the gallery mailbox and bookings system
Providing information on the history of the gallery and artists exhibited
Supporting the gallery team with ad-hoc administration
Opening and closing the gallery spaces
Gallery invigilation
This is a paid position with lunch provided. Hours are 10:30am – 4:30pm, 1- 3 days a week, Saturday and Sunday with occasional weekday shifts.
