The Art Cohort is delighted to announce that we have been awarded funding by The West of England Combined Authority (WECA) for a programme called CREATING TOGETHER. We’re very excited to announce that this funding enables us to run a 6 week Artist Residency starting in September 2021.

The CREATING TOGETHER Programme will build on The Art Cohort’s platform of community engagement to advance values of creativity, exchange and generosity in response to the pandemic.

Covid-19 has been a challenging and unpredictable time and although it has been a tough journey, it has also provided opportunities to reflect on our creative skills and to develop creatively.

Open to submissions from all art disciplines.

WHAT WILL THE RESIDENCY OFFER?
We are looking for work that responds to the human experience of isolation during the pandemic
We will provide free studio space and financial support for materials to develop a body of work as well as nurturing an artist through the early stage research to an exhibition.
The Residency offers funding for 10 days paid employment for time spent in the residence, a total of £1500.
A one week exhibition at The Art Cohort, to showcase the body of work developed.

Follow the link in our bio to the online application for the CREATING TOGETHER Residency at The Art Cohort.

The closing date for submissions is the 22nd August 2021.
