ZELDA is proud to announce the launch of our first Artist Mentorship Programme in collaboration with Arcade London and 8 expert mentors from across the Visual Arts sector.

We are currently accepting applications from artists who feel that they would benefit from the support, advice and guidance of a short term mentoring relationship. Applications are open to all artists throughout the UK as long as you are not currently enrolled in a higher education course.

This programme is FREE to all participating artists.

ZELDA is lucky to be working with 8 mentors from across the Visual Arts sector with a breadth of experience and knowledge. Their bios are listed on our website (www.zeldaart.com). We will try to match those who are selected with the most appropriate mentor. We have 8 spaces to offer mentee artists.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from artists who have not followed traditional arts education routes, live outside of London, are underrepresented in the art world due to race or socio-economic position, identify as disabled, are LGBTQ+, or have taken a break from practice due to caring responsibilities or health issues.

Selected artists will meet for 3 one-hour sessions with their mentors. A schedule will be arranged between mentor and mentee on days and times that mutually work, although we recommend that the 3 sessions take place over a period no longer than 3 months.

We expect that most sessions will take place online, but we will facilitate IRL meetings should the mentee and mentor wish to do this. Our partner, Arcade, located at 87 Lever St, London EC1V 3RA, have confirmed use of a socially distanced and sanitised space at the gallery. However, if government guidelines change, or you do not feel comfortable with this, there is no requirement to meet in person.

To Apply: Send a short paragraph of biographical information including a description of your practice, and one short paragraph describing how you feel you would benefit from the mentorship. Include any relevant links to your work, such as website. If you’d like to work with a specific person from our list of mentors please make sure to make a note of that in your application, although it’s not essential. The application should be no longer than 1 side A4 typed.

Send to info@zeldaart.com by 9th October (5pm). Selections will be made and notified by the 19th October.
