We are keen to receive applications from motivated and passionate young people aged between 14-16 years who have an interest in making and would benefit from wider participation in craft education. We are also keen to support students who intend on making application to further educational courses within the creative arts.

The programme will run for 12 weeks, starting on 19th of March 2022, but the deadline to apply is ongoing.

Workshops will be delivered by a range of professional craft makers covering ceramics, printmaking, puppetry, wood carving, bookbinding, willow weaving, traditional sign writing, and darning.

All attendees will be encouraged to take part in a bronze arts award qualification which is run in collaboration with Trinity College London. This will require participants to make a written and visual portfolio documenting their learning throughout the course and will require 20 hours of independent study (roughly 1.5hrs each week).

All sections of this form should be completed by the parent/guardian/school except the Personal Statement section which must be completed by the young person in their own words. In the personal statement please write a paragraph or two about why you are applying and what you hope to gain from the course.

We kindly ask that each application is accompanied by a brief supporting reference giving an indication of suitability from either the head of art or a member of teaching staff.
