How to ensure your creative group is accessible and welcoming

This online workshop will provide a safe space to explore what you can do to create an inclusive and accessible space online and in the real world.

Hosted by Creative Lives and facilitated by Elise Davison and Stephanie Back, this session will provide a friendly exploration of how to make your space more accessible and inclusive.

Over 13 years, Taking Flight Theatre has adapted and developed its environment to make it as accessible as it possibly can be. Spaces keep changing and we all need to be mindful that when moving into a digital world no one gets left behind.

This workshop is aimed at people who lead or run participatory creative groups in their community, and it will provide a safe space to explore what you can do to create an inclusive and accessible space online and in the real world.

By the end of the workshop you should be able to:

- Discuss the physical and non-physical barriers that some spaces present and explore ways to remove these.
- Understand how you could work with interpreters and other access professionals.
- Demonstrate greater confidence in using your space, and running your group in an inclusive way.
