VASW's Advice on ACE Emergency Funding Criteria

VASW advises artists, independent arts workers and small-to-medium arts organisations on applying for ACE’s COVID-19 emergency funding.

Arts Council England (ACE) has launched the COVID-19 emergency funding strands for individuals, National Portfolio Organisations and organisations outside ACE’s National Portfolio. These emergency funds are now open to applications to alleviate the pressure caused by suspended programmes and lost income across the visual arts ecology in England.

Visual Arts South West (VASW) is supporting the sector by offering advice to individuals and organisations outside the National Portfolio on applying for these emergency funds. The VASW Network Manager Paula Orrell will host dedicated online group discussions focused on these two funding strands to guide applicants through the funding criteria.

VASW will host four sessions in total. The first two sessions are aimed at those applying in Round 1, closing for applications on 16 April, and the latter two are aimed at those applying in Round 2, closing for applications on 30 April.

The morning sessions will focus on artists and independent arts workers, and the afternoon sessions on non-NPO organisations.

The advice sessions are free to attend. They are hosted on Zoom with capacity for 10 participants per session.

Tuesday 14 April – Round 1:
– Artists and independent arts workers: 10am – 11am
– Non-NPO organisations: 2pm – 3pm

Wednesday 22 April – Round 2:
– Artists and independent arts workers: 10am – 11am
– Non-NPO organisations: 2pm – 3pm

Please book a place on Eventbrite to attend one of the sessions. You can find the required details to join your session at the bottom of your booking confirmation.
