This new artwork and installation by sound artist and composer Emily Peasgood explores Southampton’s complex and enduring relationship with the sea, from the 1600s to the present day and into the future. Having written and composed a song informed and inspired by local histories and local people, you’re invited to immerse yourselves in the story of the Solent as the sound installation echoes through the majestic gallery space.
